Children's Crossing Supervisors

Our Children's Crossing Team is committed to the safety of children at children's crossings. We are currently seeking a number of relievers, across the Mornington Peninsula, from interested people who would like to form part of our casual pool of staff should a future need arise.
Duties include placing of flags and signs and maintaining a record of vehicles breaching Road Safety Regulations. You will have the ability to control traffic around the crossing in all weather conditions and maintain control over children. The ability to relate well to both children and parents is essential and your own transport is required. Training and a uniform are provided. You will be required to undertake a Working With Children Check together with a Police Record Check.

Community Animal Shelter Officer
Environment Protection | Permanent Part Time | Band 4

The Environment Protection Unit's Community Animal Shelter team is seeking an energetic and enthusiastic individual to join the team to provide assistance and support, on the week ends, to the Coordinator and Administration Officer in ensuring the smooth day to day running of the Shelter.

The Shelter plays a vital role in caring for the community's lost pets, as well as encouraging responsible pet ownership and promoting compliance with the Mornington Peninsula Shire's Local Laws and related Acts and Regulations.

You will have an ability to provide quality customer service together with an excellent knowledge of domestic animals and well developed animal management skills. You will be able to interpret appropriate legislation relevant to the functions of the Community Animal Shelter. Be able to enter data accurately and efficiently using the Microsoft Office suite of programs together with an ability to learn and operate the Shire's corporate computer applications.

It would be an advantage to have experience in office administration and highly regarded with experience in an Animal Management role.

You will be required to undertake a Police Record Check.

Gymnastics Head Coach
Recreation & Leisure | Permanent Part Time | Band 4

The Sport and Leisure Team are seeking a qualified and experienced individual to oversee the operation of the gymnastics program, located in Hastings, which provides gymnastics opportunities for approximately 200 weekly participants.

As Head Coach your duties will include:
Staff supervision and training, weekly floor planning, program planning and progression, liaison with all families, lesson planning for weekly program and for program competitions, design and cater programs for school groups, fee collection and assistance with program administration, hands on delivery of classes.

The position requires intimate knowledge of the safety and regulations for equipment and floor set up and lay out. Sound knowledge of staff/child ratios is also required.

Regular hours of work will include classes running on Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday (Saturday mornings). Kindergym classes are offered during weekday mornings and all other classes run after school. Other hours required will be dependant on school bookings and one-off special events.

This position will attract applicants who have had experience working with pre-school and school aged children in a similar capacity. You will have a Level 1 or above Gymnastics coaching qualification, a current Level 2 First Aid Certificate and a Working with Children Check.

This position requires you to undertake a Police Record Check.
